Bio
Miler has been in foster homes for more than six months. He faithfully attends Meet & Greets and has watched many younger hounds go on to their forever homes, but he still longs for his. Miler is older, he turned 8 on April 24, 2015, but he could have several more years to bond with and love his human. He’s okay with living in a foster home, but it’s not the same as having your own forever human to hang out and go on walks with - someone who fusses over you and gives you that special kind of love.
Miler performed well on the track until he was injured in a race. His bad leg is not an issue, he just walks a little stiffly at times. Then he sired two litters, and several of his sons and daughters have gone on to perform well on the track. He crates nicely. He loves to go on walks more than anything, and because he makes this VERY clear and has perfect leash manners, his foster mom walks him every morning, rain or shine. He likes to cool off in the kiddie pool on a warm day. He is quiet, submissive, cooperative, and super polite with both dogs and humans. He tends to be more sociable when there are fewer dogs in the house, so he would most likely be happiest in a home with no more than one or two other sighthounds, and definitely no cats.
