Bio
Sterling is a very sweet boy with a loving, calm personality and a gentle desire to be near his people. He can be a little cautious or skittish when entering new situations, but once he gets his bearings, he enjoys exploring his surroundings.
Sterling has been wonderfully quiet in his foster home and has yet to bark—not even at the neighbor dogs! He may not be a big kisser, but he shows his affection by following his people from room to room and simply wanting to be close.
A Toy-Loving Boy
Sterling absolutely loves toys! He enjoys taking several from the toy box to his bed and is especially talented at removing squeakers. He loves carrying his toys around and shaking them. He is comfortable with his foster parents approaching and taking toys, though he can be a possessive around his furry sister. His foster family is helping him learn that sharing is a good thing.
Good House Manners
Sterling has made wonderful progress in his foster home:
Sterling is curious and enjoys exploring, sometimes picking things up to carry around. His foster family is working on his “leave it” command, and he’s doing pretty well!
Life with Other Dogs
Sterling gets along well with his fur sister and is beginning to enjoy playing chase with her. He would likely enjoy having another dog in his forever home, particularly one who isn’t overly interested in his toys.
He has not yet been around cats or children.
Sterling’s Ideal Home
Sterling would love a home where someone enjoys spending time with him and being his companion. While he does well when left alone, he would especially enjoy having someone home with him.
