GREYFEST
2000 REUNION
GU's annual gathering,
Greyfest 2000 Reunion was held on Saturday, October 21 at Cottonwood
Park in Richardson from 12 to 4. Our sincere thanks to all of
you who came with your hounds. Although it was a very gray drizzling
day, it did not keep any of those registered from coming. There
were over 200 attendees and 150+ hounds who participated in a
Blessing of the Hounds, live and silent auctions, raffles, presentation
of volunteer of the year award to our own Mary McAnally, a chiropractic
canine demonstration, and lots of greyt items for sale! The adoption
center was a huge success with three adoptions Cuddles,
McCoy and Abigail, the puppy. Preliminary results indicate this
will be our most successful Greyfest ever! Our Sincere Thanks
to each of you for helping in every way!

The volunteers for Greyfest worked very hard to make it enjoyable
for all, and their efforts were “over and beyond”. Please
be honest in your feedback and express your opinion!
***In the give away
bags that you received upon registration, there was a refrigerator
magnet with GU’s new address and phone number along with
Mary McAnally’s phone number for greyhound emergencies. There
is a typo with Mary’s phone number, so please change to 817-281-2244
immediately or discard.
